VDF MOVEMENTS
Social movement
At VDF we have proposed to bring dance closer to society as a tool of transformation and as the main objective of the association to give visibility to this profession.
Throughout the year VDF carries out awareness workshops aimed at those associations, educational groups, summer camps, schools and groups at risk of social exclusion who want to participate in the art of movement.
These activities represent an experience close to dance as a form of expression inherent to human beings. Essential for all those who love beauty and body harmony, committed to the comprehensive development of children and adults.
The workshops aim to develop critical capacity in the individual and promote the creative abilities of each person.
During our years of experience, VDF has held dance awareness workshops in:
- IES La Vereda de La Pobla de Vallbona
- San Vicente Ferrer Foundation School of San Antonio de Benagéber
- CEIP Vicent Ricart i Bonillo de Benetusser
- Benimaclet Youth Center
- Educational Spring
- Pobla de Vallbona Scenic Show
- Reception center for special training minors 'Campanar' in Valencia

- IES Violant de Casalduch de Benicàssim
- Benifaió Primary Centers
- CEIP L’Almassil de Mislata
- Jaume I University of Castellón

As an event worth highlighting, in 2018 VDF has the opportunity to participate in Com Sona l’ESO, an educational project in which secondary education students enjoy the assembly and performance of a show where dance and music are the central axes.

CULTURAL MOVEMENT
During the active months of the young company (September-December), VDF presents a show with classical, neoclassical and contemporary dance pieces. A varied show to make society aware of the different styles and demonstrate the versatility of the young dancers that make up the company.
During the tour, the show is scheduled in the morning to facilitate access for schoolchildren and family audiences.
This activity is intended for audiences of all ages, especially groups of students from dance schools and conservatories, Primary and Secondary schools, aged between 11 and 18 years.
At the end of the “VDF matinales” show, the curtain is raised so that anyone in the audience, of any age, can ask questions to the dancers who have just performed, thus bringing the figure of the dancer closer and breaking the barrier between stage and audience.
In collaboration with other groups, the association adapts some excerpts of the show in unconventional spaces, offering dancers more experiences on stage and encouraging the creation of a dance audience.
Some of our interventions have been in:
- Opening of the Loops Festival
- Museum of Fine Arts of Castellón
- Schools
- University of Valencia together with the Orchestra of the University of Medicine
- Culture als Barris 2022
EDUCATIONAL MOVEMENT
Throughout the year VDF organizes workshops and master classes in classical and contemporary dance for students and professionals in the dance sector. Our goal is to bring notable teachers and choreographers from all over Europe to the city of Valencia, so that they can share their classes and show their different methodologies. VDF is committed to versatile training to be able to access the world of work more easily.
Professionals such as Monique Loudières (Star of the Paris Opera), James Forbat (Soloist of the English National Ballet), Carmen Andrés (Béjart Ballet), Mario Bermúdez (Marcat Dance), Diana Huertas (Otra Danza and Proyecto Titoyaya) have attended these workshops and the three founding members of VDF Laura Bruña, Elizabeth Taberner Vidal and Joan Crespo.
The master classes have been organized internally for the young company with teachers from the sector such as: Clara Barberá, Rafael Darder, Laura Fernández, África Hernandez, Carlos Labiós, Asun Noales, Stephane Phavorin, Laura Villanueva, Eduardo Zúñiga, Jenna Lee, Alessio Atanasio, Julia Cambra, Yolanda Peña and Javier Rodríguez Cobos.
